NUTRITION - RESEARCH MODE

INTRODUCTION

The Master of Science in Nutrition program is designed to train students to expand their knowledge and research competencies in solving issues related to food, nutrition and health at the local and global levels.

At the end of the course, students are expected to demonstrate knowledge of food and nutrition problems and creatively highlight and suggest possible solutions. Students should also be able to design appropriate research, conduct field work or lab experiments, analyze, synthesize relevant data and come up with innovative ideas in discussing their findings. The program will also prepare students with adequate research skills to communicate through reports writing, oral presentation, information gathering and dissemination with high technical quality.

The Master of Science in Nutrition has produced many local and international postgraduate students who now has been succesfull in their respective carrier.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

1. Research experience (minimum 6 month)

                                  OR

2. Grade A- for final year project

                                  AND

3. Subject to additional requirement(s) by the School

Doctor of Philosophy Master Degree (Coursework or Mixed Mode) 3.00 and above Subject to additional requirement(s) by the School
2.75 – 2.99

1. Research experience (minimum 5 years)

                                  OR

2. Professional experience in related field (minimum 5 years)

                                  OR

3. Two (2) academic publications (journals, not proceedings) in the field applied

                                  OR

4. Grade B for major/elective courses

                                  AND

5. Subject to additional requirement(s) by the School

* Foreign Student has to produce English proficiency result as follows:

  • TOEFL paper based (minimum score 550) or
  • TOEFL computer based (minimum score 213) or
  • TOEFL Internet-based (minimum score 80) or
  • IELTS (skor minimum Band 6)
