Doctor of Philosophy
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes are research based programmes offered by the School of Health Sciences. The programmes aim to produce competent, intellectual and ethical research scholars who are capable of advancing knowledge in health sciences for sustainable development and wellness of society. The research studies cover the major disciplines in health sciences, including audiology, biomedicine, dietetics, environmental and occupational health, exercise and sports science, medical radiation, nursing, nutrition and speech pathology, as well as in the discipline of forensic science.

Duration
- Full-time: Min 4 semesters / Max 10 semesters
- Part-time: Min 6 semesters /Max 15 semesters
Admission Requirements
Applicants should possess any of the following:
I. | Master Degree (Coursework or Mixed Mode) | |
A) | CGPA of at least 3.00/4.00. | |
B) | CGPA of 2.50 – 2.99 with | |
at least two (2) years research experience OR at least two (2) years professional experience in related field OR two (2) academic publications OR at least Grade B+ in major/elective courses OR at least Grade B+ for Coursework Mode or P for Mixed Mode dissertation/project. |

II. | Master Degree (Research Mode) | |
III. | Bachelor Degree (First Class Honours) with CGPA of at least 3.67/4.00 | |
