The Bachelor in Nursing (Honours) is a four years (8 semesters) programme offered by the School of Health Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia Health Campus. It consists of the following components:

- Behavioural Sciences
- Nursing Sciences
- Clinical Skills
- Computer Skills
- Research and Scientific Writing Skills
- Communication and Information Distribution Skills
- Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills
- Co-curriculum Activities
- Social Skills
- Teaching and Patient Management Skills
These components are incorporated into the nursing curriculum to strengthen the basic knowledge of the nursing practice. In addition, it improved the nursing profession at par with other health care professions. Scientific knowledge and evidence-based care promote competent, independent, and safe practitioners. The graduate of this programme is expected to be calibre, innovative, and proactive with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The university courses enable the graduates to expand their mindsets and horizon.
The first student intake for this programme was in 2000, with 19 students. The number of students enrolled in the programme is gradually increasing each year. The total number of students intake is based on the capacity and availability of the academic and support staff of the programme. The programme values the need to be proactive in its approach by performing curriculum reviews every four years to ensure its quality in producing competent and globally competitive graduates.
